Laser treatment of the retina from 55€ in Almaty

The clinic treats retinal diseases by injecting Bayer’s Eylea® into the vitreal cavity.

Retinal dystrophies are inconspicuous diseases that threaten great vision problems, up to blindness. Fortunately, laser retinal treatment technologies can safely and effectively prevent the terrible consequences of subtle retinal dystrophies.

About the procedure

It is impossible to diagnose pathological conditions of the retina on its own. Only an experienced ophthalmologist is able to see changes in the fundus by examining the fundus with a Goldmann lens (sometimes also called a cycloscopy). Patients with myopia, diabetes mellitus, arterial hypertension, kidney disease should have their retina examined at least once a year.

The essence of the operation is that a special laser “solders” the retinal tissue, preventing its subsequent detachment. Laser coagulation allows you to create dense local adhesions between the layers of the retina and underlying tissues in the area of direct exposure. The laser does not affect the visual functions of the eye in any way. In some cases, as part of complex treatment, laser operations are used to coagulate the affected areas of the fundus in diabetic retinopathy.

The procedure is performed on an outpatient basis, is minimally painful, well tolerated and requires only a little patience from the patient: the duration of the operation on one eye is 10-15 minutes, on both – a little less than half an hour.

If you suffer from eye conditions and are looking for the best solution for restoring your vision, retinal laser treatment may be just what you need. Contact our professional doctors to learn more about this procedure and determine if it is right for you.
